Shared Care in Ireland
Shared-care is a collaborative approach between medics, clinicians and complemetary professionals in assisted reproductive technology (ART) that is proven to reduce stress and improve the outcome of assisted conception protocols. Shared-care may be applied to Irish and non-Irish fertility clinics, keeping travel and other financial outgoings to a minimum while easing emotional and physical stress.
Shared-care involves:
- A comprehensive case assessment.
- A clear explanation of your chosen conception technique.
- Referral to an affiliated clinic, if one has not already been chosen.
- Assistance in completing all contractual paperwork.
- The opportunity to ask questions in a safe and supportive environment.
- Access to the team as questions arise throughout the treatment cycle.
Additional costs include:
- Consultation with gynaecologist/urologist.
- Viral screening (required by the EU Tissue and Cells Directive).
- Trans-vaginal follicle tracking ultrasound.
- Ultrasound to confirm viable intra-uterine pregnancy.
