Shared Care in Ireland

Shared Care

Shared-care is a collaborative approach between medics, clinicians and complemetary professionals in assisted reproductive technology (ART) that is proven to reduce stress and improve the outcome of assisted conception protocols. Shared-care may be applied to Irish and non-Irish fertility clinics, keeping travel and other financial outgoings to a minimum while easing emotional and physical stress.

Shared-care involves:
  1. A comprehensive case assessment.
  2. A clear explanation of your chosen conception technique.
  3. Referral to an affiliated clinic, if one has not already been chosen.
  4. Assistance in completing all contractual paperwork.
  5. The opportunity to ask questions in a safe and supportive environment.
  6. Access to the team as questions arise throughout the treatment cycle.
Additional costs include:
  • Consultation with gynaecologist/urologist.
  • Viral screening (required by the EU Tissue and Cells Directive).
  • Trans-vaginal follicle tracking ultrasound.
  • Ultrasound to confirm viable intra-uterine pregnancy.
